The composition “Rhapsody in Blue” by George Gershwin was subjected to a design experiment of translating it into a variety of graphic illustrations that follow an underlying method. This allows the book to be used or read interactively in parallel with the music. For observers, it is possible to trace the musical piece bar by bar and to get information on the composition at the same time. By means of a QR code and the minute information, observers get audiovisual added value. The basis of the graphics is formed by staves. These were generated by processing (through Java) an audio-exported xml file of the composition and then modifying these lines according to parameters such as dynamics, rhythm and dramatic theory, which they impressively reflect in this way.
